Your TechPilot

Account managers coordinate. TechPilots decide.

Most providers send an account manager who passes your request along. We give you a TechPilot: a senior lead with the know-how and the authority to fix it, and the duty to own it.

How it works

A hub, not a chain.

Your TechPilot is your primary contact and pulls in the service desk, project team, security and steering as needed. Nothing is gated behind them.

Your firm Leadership and team
Your TechPilot One named senior lead
Service desk Engineers, no first level
Project team CAD/BIM, migrations
Security Audit-ready, IP protected
Steering Roadmap and budget
Coordinated by your TechPilot Direct line to every team

You can reach everyone. Your TechPilot means you never have to chase.

What a TechPilot does

Specific things, every month.

Not a title on an org chart. A person who turns up where IT decisions are actually made.

Chairs your IT steering meeting

Agenda, decisions, owners and dates. The roadmap is reviewed against your projects, not against our catalogue.

At the table when you decide

Budget, risk and insurer questions answered in the room, in plain language, with a recommendation.

Knows your workflows by name

Which software a matter or project needs, which client asked which security questions, where the archive for warranty claims lives.

Makes the call

When something breaks on deadline day, the person who knows your setup decides. No escalation through three queues.

Says no when it matters

To the shiny tool you don’t need, to the shortcut that weakens security, and to scope creep we would otherwise bill you for.

Owns the result

Projects are handed into daily operations with documentation and monitoring. If something doesn’t work, it’s still their problem.

Who’s behind it

One senior lead. A specialist team behind them.

Your TechPilot is a senior lead from our team, named for your firm: a counterpart at leadership level, not a junior account manager.

The work is done by specialists: engineers on the service desk, a project team for migrations and CAD and BIM environments, and security specialists. Your TechPilot brings in whoever the job needs. When you call, you talk to someone who knows your setup and has the authority to act on it.

Questions we get

Is the TechPilot a salesperson?

No. A TechPilot is a senior engineer and IT lead who advises, decides and works on your systems. There’s no separate account manager between you and the people doing the work.

Can we still contact the service desk directly?

Yes. Write to hello@2nd-wind.com or chat with us in Microsoft Teams. Every request lands with an engineer who can fix it, and your TechPilot keeps the overview so nothing falls between the cracks.

What happens when our TechPilot is away?

Your setup is documented in our systems, so the team can pick it up. Before any planned absence we agree with you who covers what and how to reach them.

Does a TechPilot cost extra?

Being your primary contact is part of every contract. Concept, project and steering work is billed by time from the same price list as everything else, and we tell you before a month runs over.

Start

Talk it through.

30 minutes with a senior engineer. Deadlines and risk, not buzzwords. If we’re not the right fit, we’ll say so.
